Western Digital and Bloom Energy beat forecasts but shares fall; Deckers drops 7%
Strong results were not enough for Western Digital and Bloom Energy after the market closed on Thursday. Both beat analysts' forecasts, but their shares still fell, following a heavy sell-off in AI-related stocks during the day, CNBC reported.

Western Digital: a beat, then a fall
The data storage company reported revenue of $4.38bn for its fiscal first quarter, ahead of the $4.14bn expected, CNBC said. Adjusted earnings of $4.64 a share beat the LSEG consensus of $4.09.
The decline came after "hard selling in the artificial intelligence trade during the regular session", CNBC said. On Thursday the Nasdaq had its worst day since June.
Bloom Energy: record quarter
Bloom said quarterly revenue reached a record $1,235.8m, up 138.1% from a year earlier. Adjusted earnings of 94 cents a share beat the 68 cents analysts expected, according to CNBC.
The fuel-cell company also raised its guidance for full-year revenue and adjusted earnings. CNBC said the new targets came in ahead of estimates. The shares still fell 5%.
