Como thrash Manchester United 4-1 in the Champions League as pressure grows on Carrick
Como beat Manchester United 4–1 in their first Champions League campaign on Wednesday night. Nico Paz scored twice and set up another as Cesc Fàbregas's side led 3–0 by the 57th minute.

A night that got worse for United
Paz curled in from the right after two minutes. It was the second European game in a row in which United conceded inside two minutes, after their 2–0 defeat at Atlético Madrid, the Guardian reported.
Carrick took off Matheus Cunha and Andrey Santos for Carlos Baleba and Amad Diallo, the Guardian reported. Four minutes into the second half, Paz threaded a pass through for Douvikas, who scored. Paz then ran along the right and beat Senne Lammens for 3–0.
Ramón headed in Kaiki Bruno's cross in the 76th minute. Zirkzee scored a stoppage-time consolation.
We actually half-pressed man-to-man the second half and then conceded a goal from that.
Carrick under pressure
The Guardian reported that about 200 of United's 700 travelling fans stayed to the end. Carrick went over to apologise to them, and later admitted he was angry.
United were missing nine players through injury, suspension or illness. Matthijs de Ligt made his first appearance in 325 days after a serious back injury. Carrick brushed aside questions about quitting. United host Bournemouth on Sunday.
