Declan Rice's late strike earns Arsenal a 2-2 draw at Bayern despite Kane penalty
Declan Rice scored eight minutes from time to earn Arsenal a 2–2 draw with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday. Harry Kane had put Bayern ahead from the penalty spot, extending his scoring run in the Champions League to 10 straight games.
How the goals came
Saka went off with a thigh problem in the 10th minute after a tussle with Davies, the Guardian reported. His replacement, Eze, opened the scoring from a pass by Martin Ødegaard. He let the ball bounce and shot first time into the far corner. An offside flag went up, but the video assistant referee ruled he was onside.
Bayern were level ten minutes later. Kane, on the halfway line, played a low through ball that took Timber out of the game, and Davies finished.
After half-time, Manuel Neuer tipped a Bruno Guimarães header onto the crossbar, and David Raya kept out a close-range header from Dayot Upamecano. Then Timber's outstretched arm blocked a shot, and Kane sent the penalty hard into the right-hand corner.
Rice finds the gap
Bayern nearly made it 3–1 when Konrad Laimer dragged a shot narrowly wide. Instead, Gyökeres found Rice running into the box, and he finished low. In stoppage time, Neuer tipped a Timber shot over the bar.
That is one of the highest levels we played. Two teams who wanted to press each other and wanted to attack and wanted to play. It was a fascinating game.
Arteta said Arsenal were "a bit concerned" about Saka. "A player who has to come off with a really sharp pain is never good news, but we have to wait and see," he said.

Bayern's missing men
Bayern were without Michael Olise, who was suspended, and the injured Jamal Musiala, the Guardian reported. Joshua Kimmich was absent for personal reasons. Manager Vincent Kompany made it to the dugout after illness.
